Tom Holland is the son to his father Dominic Holland an author and comedian and mother Nicola Holland a photographer. Holland has three more younger brothers, twins Harry and Sam Holland and another Tom Holland brothers Paddy Holland.

Holland lives near his family house in Kingston upon Thames so that he can be close to his brothers and siblings. Growing up, Tom Holland studied at Donhead, an all-boys Catholic school in Wimbledon.

Being a big fan of Janey Jackson’s dancing and songs, Holland wanted to become a dancer, which is why his mother enrolled him in a dance class.

While he was just nine years old, Tom was a member of a hip-hop dance class at the Nifty Feet Dance School here in Wimbledon. His group even performed at the Richmond Dance Festival in 2006. 

At the age of seven, Holland was diagnosed with Dyslexia, and that is why his family sent all the boys to private school so that they could get full attention. After attending Wimbledon College, Holland also went to BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon.

At this festival, Tom was seen by the choreographer of the play Billy Elliot The Musical, Peter Darling, who arranged for an audition for him. The director of the play thought Tom “had great potential and was a very natural actor.”

Other than hip-hop dancing, he is trained in ballet, acrobatics, and tap dancing. These helped him when he was acting in the musical. After Billy Elliot, the Musical ended in 2010, Tom moved on to voice-over for a Japanese animated movie Arrietty in English.

That is when he auditioned for the movie The Impossible; after getting the role, he acted with actress Naomi Watts, who encouraged him to pursue acting. After the film became a commercial success, Tom Holland received positive reviews for his acting.

Then came his first standalone Marvel Film, Spiderman: Homecoming, which made him popular worldwide.

In 2018, Tom Holland became part of the biggest blockbuster film of the decade, Avengers: Infinity War 2018, and again Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Avengers: Endgame became the “highest-grossing film of all time.”  That same year Spiderman: Far From Home was released.

That year he did movies like Spies in Disguise, Doolittle, Onward, The Devil All the Time, and Cherry. Tom Holland delivered yet another highly anticipated sequel playing Peter Parker; Spiderman: No Way Home became the highest-rated Spiderman movie on Rotten Tomatoes.
